The last few days we spent hanging by the pool and frying ourselves in the sun. I always think it's a good idea not to wear any sunscreen on the last days - so I get extra brown. However that is never a good idea. Almost as bad of an idea as staying up all night when you have to get up early ex: an early flight. "If I just don't go to bed it will be way better than sleeping just a few hours."
No - never a good idea!
Ether way, I did burn... obviously ;)
After laying out in the sun for a bit too long (I was starting to match the pool couches at this point.) We had to hide away in the shade for a little while.
"Since we are already here we might as well eat."
After having one too many club sandwiches through out our stay at The Palace we had to try something different for lunch.
How about the calamari and a burger.
They were both absolutely incredible. Crispy calamari with a touch of lemon and a tomato salsa, and a fresh/juicy hamburger with the perfect fries. What a good choice!
After lunch I tried to hang out in the sun with my top on, but those rays would not spare me.
Before this burn started getting embarrassing I had to get out of there.
In the evening we bumped into our new Norwegian friend at the hotel bar. We had a few drinks and started thinking that it might be a good idea not to sleep since we had to get up so early the next morning.
Once things started getting a little bit blurry we knew that our flight the next morning would be a nightmare unless we slept. Thank god for my responsible little sister talking some sense into me. So after a few more drinks, a bottle or two of wine, and some shisha we stumbled back to our hotel room and got a few hours of rest - and thank god for that.
In the morning the car picked up two sad girls who had to leave a warm paradise to get back to a rainy reality.
What an amazing holiday this was. Not only would I strongly recommend traveling to Dubai, or staying at The Palace, but I would also advise all of you who have a brother, sister, cousin, best friend, or someone really close to you to go together. This holiday with my sister was one of the best ever, not only because of where we were but because I was there with her.
Love you Adriana!

ReplyDeleteI'm keeping this in mind for when I stay in Europe next fall, it would be a great little weekend trip!

ReplyDeleteIt would be great if you could include where your clothes are from by doing an outfit summary. You have great style.
